Sadie Anderson is the president of National Alaska Native American Indian Nurses Association (NANAINA) and is a board member of the National Coalition of Ethnic Minority Nurse Association. She is an enrolled member of the Lac du Flambeau band of Lake Superior
Chippewa Indians in Wisconsin. She received both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Sadie began her nursing career at a clinic focusing on women’s health and infertility. She began her hospital career at the Alaska Native Medical Center where she worked as a floor nurse, charge nurse, manager and her current position, Director of Nursing over all of the medsurg departments. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she has served as the nursing director of the COVID testing site and opened an Alternate Care Site attached to the hospital.
